Tan Imperial Mate Gourd with Alpaca Base

This tan imperial mate gourd with an alpaca base is entirely handmade by an artisan in Argentina, following the traditional craftsmanship associated with the finest handcrafted mate gourds.

It is crafted from a thick natural gourd of Brazilian origin, carefully selected for its quality and shape. It is then hand-covered with tan full-grain leather. Its warm, natural tone highlights the character of the leather, which will gradually develop its own patina over time.

The upper part of the gourd is reinforced with a wide engraved alpaca virola, worked and fitted by hand by the artisan. The mate also stands out for its alpaca base, specially crafted for the piece, which covers and reinforces its lower section while providing stability and character.
