Chocolate Imperial Mate Gourd with Alpaca Base

This chocolate imperial mate gourd with an alpaca base is entirely handmade by an artisan in Argentina, respecting the traditional craftsmanship of mate making.

It is crafted from a thick natural gourd of Brazilian origin, selected for its quality and shape, then hand-covered with chocolate-colored full-grain leather. Its deep brown tone highlights the character of the leather and gives the mate gourd a refined, understated finish. Over time and with use, the leather will naturally develop its own patina.

Its wide engraved alpaca virola is worked and fitted by hand to reinforce the upper part of the gourd. The mate also features an alpaca base specially crafted for the piece, which covers and reinforces its lower section while providing stability and character.

Entirely handcrafted, this high-end imperial mate gourd combines the warmth of full-grain leather with finely worked alpaca. A traditional piece with particularly refined finishes, handmade in Argentina.
